What is InBio?

Updated

in.bio is a link-in-bio platform for creators who sell. One page, shared from your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube bio, that holds your links, posts and socials — and sells your digital products, paid bookings and lead magnets. What makes it different from every other tool in the category is a built-in AI assistant that knows your store and answers your customers' questions, recommends the right product, and closes the sale while you're asleep.

It costs $29/month with a 14-day free trial, plus 5% of each sale. Payments run through your own Stripe account, so the money lands with you directly.

What you can do with it

The link-in-bio basics

Everything you'd expect, done properly: profile photo, bio, social icons, unlimited links, and the ability to write posts directly on your page — so your bio link becomes somewhere people return to, not just a menu they pass through once.

Deep customisation

A large theme library plus control over layout, styles, colours and how your profile is presented. Your page should look like your brand, not like a platform's template with your face on it.

Sell digital products

Courses, ebooks, presets, templates, Notion systems, downloads — anything delivered as a file or a link. Delivery is automatic after purchase. You can sell physical products, but in.bio is built and optimised for online delivery.

Sell bookings, with a real calendar

Not a link out to another tool — a full scheduling system inside your page. You set your availability; customers see your genuinely free slots and pick one.

Each booking type has its own rules: meeting length, buffer time, a minimum notice window (for example "can't be booked less than 12 hours ahead"), and free or paid. So a free discovery call and a paid 60-minute consultation can live on the same page with different rules.

Lead magnets and custom forms

Give something away — a file, a link, a private resource — in exchange for an email or an answer.

The custom form builder works on lead magnets, digital products and bookings, so you can ask exactly what you need before or during a purchase: what someone wants help with, their Instagram handle, their budget, their goal. You stop guessing who your buyer is.

The AI assistant: the part nothing else does

Every other tool in this category gives you a page and leaves your visitors alone with it. If someone has a question — is this course for beginners? do I get lifetime access? will this work for my niche? — they either DM you, or they leave. Most of them leave.

We built this because of a pattern we kept seeing with creators launching digital courses: the same handful of questions, over and over, dozens of times a day, each one answered manually. Every unanswered question was a sale that didn't happen, and every answered one was time not spent creating.

How it works. In your dashboard you answer questions about yourself — who you are, what you do, what makes your approach different — and you can add your own custom instructions. The AI combines that with everything in your store: every product, price, description, booking type and form.

Then it talks to your visitors. It answers their questions in your context, consults them on what they actually need, and recommends the right thing to buy. Not a generic chatbot bolted onto a page — an assistant that knows your work and your catalogue.

This is the distinction worth being precise about: other platforms offer AI that helps you create — write captions, generate images, draft posts. in.bio's AI talks to your customers and sells. As far as we know, no other link-in-bio platform does this.

And it tells you what your customers wanted

This is the feature people don't expect and end up valuing most.

When the AI can't answer something, it doesn't just apologise — it saves the question and sends it to you.

So if visitors keep asking "do you offer a paid 1:1 consultation?" and you don't sell one, the AI notices there's no such product and surfaces that question to you directly. You're not guessing what to build next. Your audience is telling you, in their own words, at the exact moment they were ready to pay for it.

Every other analytics dashboard tells you what people clicked. This tells you what they asked for and couldn't find.

Pricing, and the honest case for the 5%

$29/month, 14-day free trial, plus 5% of each sale. Your own Stripe account, so payouts come to you directly.

Let's address the 5% directly, because "0% fees" is the loudest marketing claim in this category.

Why the 5% exists: the AI is a real, ongoing cost. Every conversation on your page is a call to a language model, and we pay for it. The more you sell, the more visitors are asking questions, and the more those answers cost to produce. A percentage is the honest way to price that — it scales with the value it creates instead of charging a quiet creator for a busy one's usage. If we charged a flat fee that covered heavy use, light sellers would be subsidising it.

Why it's usually better than a 0% store with no AI: a 0% platform takes nothing and does nothing. It shows your product and hopes. in.bio's AI is answering the objection that would have ended the sale, explaining what's included, and pointing someone at the right product instead of the wrong one. 5% of a sale that happens beats 0% of a sale that didn't. If the AI converts even a small share of the visitors who would otherwise have left silently, it has paid for itself many times over.

And it's worth knowing what the "free" alternatives actually charge on sales — most of the category takes a percentage too, without giving you an AI in return. Fees as listed in August 2026; check each platform's live pricing page for the current numbers.

Linktree (top tier)~$24–350%

The pattern: a 0% fee generally means paying a higher subscription, and none of them include an assistant that sells for you.

Where in.bio isn't the right choice

Being straight about this, because you deserve a real answer rather than a pitch:

  • You just need three links and nothing else. Linktree's free plan is genuinely good at that. Don't pay $29/month for a link list.
  • You have nothing to sell yet. The AI has nothing to recommend until there's a product, a booking or a lead magnet in your store. Start free elsewhere, come back when you have an offer.
  • You sell physical products at volume. We handle it, but we're optimised for digital delivery. A real e-commerce platform will serve you better.
  • You want total design control over a custom site. Carrd or a website builder gives you more freedom than any link-in-bio tool, ours included.

in.bio makes sense when you have something to sell, an audience asking questions about it, and no desire to answer the same five questions by DM for the rest of your life.
