Linktree vs Stan Store

For downloads, courses and paid calls, Linktree Pro now sells at 0% for $17 a month, $12 less than Stan Store's $29. Pick Stan if you sell memberships, run a community, or want coaching calls with Zoom and email to your buyers in one store.

Checked 24 Oct 2026Read on each company's own pages.

Linktree and Stan Store both sell at 0% now, and Linktree is the cheaper of the two. In October 2026 Linktree moved selling at a price to its Pro plan with no Linktree fee, so the old argument for Stan, a flat price against Linktree's 12% cut, is gone. Stan still has more store: memberships, a community, coaching calls with Zoom, and email to your buyers on its top plan.

  • You sell downloads, a course or paid calls: Linktree Pro, $17 a month or $14 billed yearly, against Stan's $29 or $25.
  • You sell memberships or run a paid community: Stan Store. Both are on its $29 Creator plan; Linktree's pricing page lists neither.
  • You want to email your buyers from the store: Stan Creator Pro, $99. Linktree collects and syncs sign-ups but lists no way to send.
  • Your page is mostly links: Linktree Free. Stan has no free plan.

Checked 24 October 2026 on each company's own pages. Linktree: its pricing page, read in US dollars from outside our region because it shows local prices; its US App Store listing charges $7.99, $14.99 and $34.99 a month instead. Stan: its plan comparison and fee article. Stan's old pricing address, stan.store/pricing, now shows a store "under construction" page, not prices.

Both are 0% now; Linktree costs less to get there

What you pay is the plan, the cut and one payout a month. Stan charges 0.25% + $0.25 per payout with a $1 minimum; Linktree charges $0.25.

PlanPlan pricePlatform's cutAt $100 a monthAt $500 a monthAt $2,000 a month
Linktree Pro$17/mo0%$17.25$17.25$17.25
Linktree Premium$35/mo0%$35.25$35.25$35.25
Stan Store Creator$29/mo0%$30$30.50$34.25
Stan Store Creator Pro$99/mo0%$100$100.50$104.25

What you pay each month: the plan, billed monthly, plus the platform's cut, plus one payout a month (Linktree: $0.25 per payout; Stan Store: 0.25% + $0.25 per payout, $1 minimum). Card processing comes on top on every plan and is left out.

  • Linktree Pro is the cheapest store of the four at every sales level: $12 a month less than Stan Creator before payouts, and about $17 less at $2,000 a month.
  • Billed yearly the gap stays. Linktree Pro is $14 a month; Stan Creator is $300 a year, $25 a month.
  • Neither plan's fee drops as you grow. Linktree Premium and Stan Creator Pro buy features, not a lower cut.
  • Linktree Free and Starter can't sell at a price at all. They can give away free products, courses and bookings, and Free takes 12% on tips and paid files sent through Linktree's inbox.

Pick Linktree if…

  • You sell downloads, a course or paid calls, and want the lowest flat price. Pro sells all three at 0% for $17. Its courses run on Kajabi.
  • Your page is mostly links. Free has unlimited links and email and phone sign-ups. Linktree says over 70 million people use it.
  • You want to start without paying. Linktree has a free plan; Stan has a 14-day trial.
  • You care how the page looks. The logo comes off on Pro at $17, with advanced themes and image or video backgrounds. Stan's branding stays until Creator Pro at $99.
  • You already email from Mailchimp, Kit or Klaviyo. Pro syncs sign-ups into them.

Pick Stan Store if…

  • You sell memberships. Recurring subscriptions are on Stan Creator. Linktree's pricing page doesn't list a membership product.
  • You run coaching calls. Stan's coaching calls sync Google Calendar, create the Zoom link, and handle buffers and group calls, all on Creator. Linktree takes paid bookings from Pro.
  • You want to email buyers from the same place. Broadcasts, automated flows and contact import are on Creator Pro.
  • You want one plan for a course, calls, memberships and a community. All of it is on the $29 Creator plan.

What each one gets wrong

Linktree:

  • Selling at a price needs Pro; the free plan only gives things away.
  • Its web and App Store prices differ, and the web page shows local currency.
  • Selling digital products, bookings and courses is open to creators in 35 countries (checked 2 October 2026).
  • No custom domain; a Redirect link (Starter and up) is the nearest thing.

Stan Store:

  • There's no free plan: you pay $29 a month before the first sale.
  • The Stan branding and a "Try 14 Days Free" banner, which advertises Stan to your visitors, stay until Creator Pro.
  • Payments run through a Stripe account Stan sets up and manages, and every payout carries a fee.
  • No custom domain; you can only forward a domain you own to stan.store/yourname.

Stan's own comparison still quotes Linktree's old fee

Stan's Stan Store vs Linktree post, read on 24 October 2026, still says Linktree charges "a 12% platform fee on all sales" and lists Linktree at "0-12% per sale". Linktree's own pricing page no longer has a 12% rate on product sales: Free and Starter can't sell at a price, and Pro and Premium are 0%. Stan also pays creators 20% of each subscription they refer, for as long as it stays active, so read creator comparisons of Stan with that in mind.

Moving from one to the other: export first, cancel last

From Linktree to Stan:

  1. Export your contacts. Audience, then Integrations, then Export CSV, on every Linktree plan.
  2. Import after the trial. Contact import is a Creator Pro tool, capped at 10 contacts during a Creator Pro trial.
  3. Rebuild your calls as Stan coaching calls with the same lengths and prices, and connect the Google Calendar you already use.
  4. Swap the link in every bio in one sitting. On Starter and up, Linktree's Redirect then sends anyone who still taps the old link to the new page.

From Stan to Linktree:

  1. Cash out your balance.
  2. Plan for members to re-subscribe. Cancelling your Stan plan doesn't cancel your customers' memberships, so move them before you do, and cancel each one.
  3. Upgrade to Linktree Pro before you list a paid product. Free and Starter can't sell at a price.

A third option: InBio

InBio is the simplest of the three to start: a clean page in a minute. On Business, $29 a month or $290 a year, it sells downloads and paid one-to-one calls at 0% through your own Stripe account, with calls booked against live availability.

At $29 it costs what Stan does and more than Linktree Pro, and it does less selling than either: no courses, memberships, email campaigns or custom domain, up to 50 cards a page, US dollars only. Pick it for the page first.

Who should pick what

  • Mostly links, no selling: Linktree Free.
  • Downloads, a course or paid calls, at the lowest price: Linktree Pro, $17, or $14 billed yearly.
  • Memberships, a community, or coaching calls with Zoom: Stan Creator, $29, or $300 a year.
  • A list to email, and offers to stack: Stan Creator Pro, $99, if its tools bring in enough extra sales to cover $70 a month.
  • A clean page now, with downloads and paid calls on it later: InBio.

Frequently asked questions

Something else? Write to hello@in.bio and we will get back to you.

Yes. Keep a Linktree Free page of links and make one of its links your Stan store. You pay Stan's $29 a month and nothing to Linktree, but you run two accounts and two sets of analytics.

Both are a URL for your bio, and both can reply on Instagram automatically. Stan AutoDM comes with the $29 Creator plan. Linktree's auto-replies run on every plan, capped at 1,000 sends a month on Free, and its DM triggers start on Pro.

A cancelled Linktree plan runs to the end of the period, then drops to Free, so the page stays up but stops selling at a price. A cancelled Stan plan also runs to the end of the period, then the store goes offline until you reactivate; Stan keeps your products and data (checked 8 October 2026).

Not natively. Stan's help center says it doesn't calculate shipping prices or inventory; a custom product with address fields is the workaround.
